errrr? dunno what mm. US sizing is measured by gauge, and for some reason are only even numbers. this is a 6g, which i stretched a step at a time from the original 12g i was pierced with. the stretch is definitely more painful than the initial piercing. mine's done up higher in the stiffer portion of the cartilage.
